Shadow Hunter
By Mel Teshco
Altair has never stopped loving Kyra, his mate, his wife. But as vampire king he’s read the immortal prophecy, deciphered the ancient text inside the scrolls and books guarded zealously by vampire safe keepers — and knows it’s his duty to secure the future of all immortals. No matter the personal price.

Kyra endures her turning and becomes Altair’s vampire queen. But their union is destroyed when he deliberately ingests werewolf blood. Offering no explanation, he deserts her and their kingdom and becomes a despised hybrid. Shattered, she trains relentlessly to become an elite nightwalker solider. A Shadow Hunter. Her mission is to track Altair down. And kill him.

But all her hate becomes immaterial when she finds him entangled in another's arms inside a Sydney nightclub. She still wants him. Love and burning revenge tear at her heart. Confused and weak from hunger, she retreats. Mortal blood is her lifeline, but she detests the blood-sucking act that sees vampires prey on innocent humans.
Altair follows Kyra, aware she is starving and close to death. By enticing her into drinking from his vein, he again saves her life. But the same blood which nourishes her also contaminates her. She becomes a werewolf-vampire, an impure reviled by all the secret races. The hunter is now the hunted.

An Improper Proposition
By Amy Rose Bennett
Widowed countess Lady Bianca Wells secretly lusts after her much younger, rakishly handsome footman Harry Blake. Even though he has been in her employ for six months, she has not succumbed to her indecorous urges to take him as a lover…until one wicked night at an isolated country inn when she throws caution to the wind and offers Blake a wholly improper proposition.

Harry Blake, the bastard son of a duke and governess, is the epitome of the perfect footman, except for one thing—he fantasizes about seducing his beautiful mistress. When Lady Wells proposes that they become lovers for one night only, he is torn. Even though he wants her with every fiber of his being, he suspects that forbidden fruit once tasted, can be awfully addictive. He wonders if one night of passion will be enough, for either of them—especially now that he realizes he might very well be falling in love with his bella Bianca.

But when all is said and done, Blake can hardly refuse such a tempting proposition, no matter how unwise or improper. He just prays that he can put a smile on his mistress’s beautiful face…

Seizing Heaven - Release Day & Giveaway

Seizing Heaven -Release Day & Giveaway

Hi everyone!

Seizing Heaven has been officially released into the wild – Yay!!!

Can the family betrothal ring really pick his true bride? Lord Savaric Reynard is about to find out.

Seizing Heaven takes us back to Foxwoods Hall and the Reynard Family which were first featured in Capturing Bliss.

I hope that you love Savaric and Rosamund’s story as much as I do.

To celebrate its release I’m giving away a $20 Amazon Gift Card.

Lord Savaric Reynard is intent on marrying the widow of Blackstone Manor, that is, until fate and the Reynard betrothal ring get in the way. On his way to meet the widow, Savaric is waylaid by Rosamund, a travelling artist.

He doesn’t believe in magic or the old family legend that the Reynard betrothal ring has the power to choose the right and true bride. Savaric soon discovers he can try and run from Fate, but one way or another it just might catch up with him.

Seizing Heaven - Snippet

The girl straightened and her eyes narrowed when she addressed him. “Sir, I do not want your coin.”

“Then what do you want? Come, you came to Foxwoods with a purpose.”

“I want nothing from you, Lord Reynard. I was honour bound to return the ring and I need no money for that.” Her voice was even but he saw a spark of indignation spark in her eyes.

“And what do you know of honour?” The words slipped out of Savaric’s mouth before he could stop them.

“Savaric!” Aunt Amice gasped.

“More than you, I wager,” Rosamund said as her hands fisted by her sides. “I have returned your possession and yet you choose to insult me. You may be a fine lord, but I have found better manners and more kindness from the woodcutter I passed on the road.”

She stepped away from the hearth and dropped into curtsy before Amice. “May God grant you blessings, Lady. I thank you for your sweet words but I should leave. ‘Tis better that way.”

“Nay, I will not have it. I will not allow you to go back into the tempest. I insist that you accept our hospitality. You will have dry clothes, a warm bed and food. We are in your debt, child and once Savaric recovers his manners he will be in agreement.” Aunt Amice stood up and took the girl’s hand. “Now, I shall not hear another word about it.”

Savaric saw the hurt in Rosamund’s eyes and another wisp of guilt fanned over him. She made him react and it confused him beyond reason.

“Forgive my words. My Aunt is correct, Rosamund. You are welcome and safe at Foxwoods,” he said before he turned on his heels and strode to the door. He would avoid the girl as best he could. In the morning she would leave and everything would fall back into place.

My Medieval Romances

Hi everyone,

I thought I would showcase my medieval romances... just because I could.

The truth is I haven't written in week, not since Christopher had a car accident. We know it could have been much worse and we're counting our lucky stars but unfortunately he hasn't walked away from it as unscathed as we had first hoped. He's mending but it's going to take some time... and probably copious amounts of pain killers.

Anyway, about the only thing I'm good for at the moment is looking at pretty pictures. I'm afraid the last few thousands words for Violet Falls is going to have to wait. So as I'm pottering about and not doing very much at all, I thought I would put my medieval romances together.

Become spellbound with medieval romance

The Trinket Seller's Daughter was my very first novella.

The Trinket Seller’s Daughter
Can Emelin, the lowly born Trinket Seller’s daughter catch a powerful knight’s heart?
Lost in the forest, Emelin runs for her life after her traveling party is massacred by outlaws. Sir Allard de Gerril is in pursuit of the ruthless Archer and his band when he finds Emelin. Bound by vengeance the pair seek out Archer, but as they journey through the dark woods revenge gives way to passion. With each passing day, Emelin dares to dream that there is a place for a lowly trinket seller’s daughter by the knight’s side. Yet as Archer begins to hunt the couple, Emelin fears that she and Allard will not have a future together as they may never escape the tangled wood alive

Misrule’s Mistress
Lady Ellette has refused him once but with a golden ring, a Yuletide celebration and a little cunning, Lord Barric Cranley intends to catch his bride.

I've always had a soft spot for Ellette, she's so feisty, competitive and blind to what's standing right in front of her... Barric.

Capturing Bliss
Blissot’s one desperate lie could destroy everything she’s come to cherish.

In 12th-century England, love isn't part of the marriage equation. But Lady Blissot de Woodville adores her younger sister too much to see her suffer such a fate. Instead, Bliss recklessly switches places with her sister—and marries a total stranger under false pretenses! Fortunately, she soon discovers she shares a rare passion and genuine love with her new husband, the ardent Lord William Reynard. Yet the happier Bliss becomes, the more her secret weighs heavily on her heart...because the desperate lie could destroy everything she's come to cherish.

This is the tale of Blissot and Lord William and the beginning of the Reynard dynasty.

This continues the Reynard story. It's the same house and the same family, only a century has passed since our last visit to Foxwoods Hall.

Rain

1216 AD
Nuri is caught between heaven and hell. Two men fight for her love and her soul. The first is Maras, an elemental being who follows the storms. The second is Brother Erebus, a pious monk whose tortured soul is twisted by his desire for her. But Nuri may sacrifice more than her heart when the Church brands her angel a demon. As Brother Erebus will do anything to protect her soul from the silver haired devil, even if he has to crush her body to do it.
This is one of my favourite stories. I love the light and shade in the tale and the question of who is really the monster and why do we fear things that are different?
Unlike my other medieval tales, this one has a touch of fantasy in it. I'm sure the bit about an elemental being might have been a bit of a giveaway.

Bewitching Blurbs

Hi everyone.

Here’s another Bewitching Blurbs.

This week we are going from the drawing rooms of Georgian England, to the squattocracy of colonial Australia and to a mythical world beyond the veil... along with a few other little stops on the way.

As always Bewitching Blurbs features stories from across the romance sub genres and all heat levels.

Restoring Lady Anna

By Em Taylor

When Lord James Eversley is accused of a murder he did not commit, he dresses up as his new brother-in-law’s footman and hitches a ride in their carriage out of town. When it seems they are no longer being followed he begins to relax until a minor accident causes them to stop at a shabby looking inn. As his “master” and his sister sip tea in the scruffy parlour, James comes face to face with Lady Anna, the woman who left him in the dead of night five years before and a familiar looking child.

Lady Anna has accepted her life as Mrs Johnstone, mother of four-year-old Viola, “wife” of Peter, the mentally ill former footman and land lady of a shabby inn on the Great North Road. Her plans for a love match with the handsome Lord Eversley were cruelly snatched away from her five years before. Her ruination means there is no opportunity to return to her family or the ton. When James turns up, dressed as a footman and demanding answers, Anna must decide whether to tell the truth.

James never stopped loving Anna and now he must learn what happened that fateful night that Anna left him heartbroken. With the truth out in the open, he must convince the love of his life to take a chance on him. He wants to marry her and restore her reputation among the aristocracy. But in Regency England reputations are easily lost and difficult to regain. Can Anna trust James enough to do what is right for Peter, despite his actions, her child and most importantly himself? Can James convince Anna to seek the help that Peter needs and return to the ton?

Seizing Heaven Cover Reveal

Hi everyone.

So after a bit of a delay, my website is back up, running... and looking very pretty. Which is just as well, as Seizing Heaven has just been released – Yay!!!

Here’s it is – isn’t it gorgeous?

I love that it echoes the cover of Capturing Bliss, which of course was the original story.

At the moment, Seizing Heaven is available from Jupiter Gardens Press. If you purchase Seizing Heaven you can also get Capturing Bliss for 50% off. Here’s the code – “heaven”.

It will be available from Amazon soon.

In Capturing Bliss, Lord William Reynard has a plan to establish his house, Foxwoods Hall and make it last for a thousand years. He wants to create a dynasty which will weather the tests of time.  At least that is his hope.

Jump forward a century.

In Seizing Heaven, Lord Savaric Reynard has vowed to protect the family’s holding and make certain he continues the line. His intent is to marry a neighbouring heiress. It is to be a marriage of convenience and nothing more. But on his way he waylaid by a young artist who is travelling from town to town. Savaric doesn’t believe in love but Rosamund just might convince him that he’s wrong.

A small modern day romance weaves it way through both stories. Nerissa is a botanical watercolourist and has journeyed to Foxwoods Hall to view their medieval garden for inspiration. She accidentally wanders into the private wing of the home and meets the current Lord Reynard, who tells her the family legend of the betrothal ring.

I like the idea of following a family through time. It was/is my intention to add more stories of Foxwoods Hall and the Reynards.  The first two stories are set during the Middle Ages. But I think we jump a bit further in the next Reynard tale.

Here’s the link to my new and shiny website –
